Presenter: Dr. Craig Hendrix, Johns Hopkins

Everyone has heard the news about the extraordinary efficacy of long acting injectable cabotegravir for PrEP among gay men and trans women, as reported by the HPTN 083 study. And we all hope HPTN 084 will have similar happy results among cisgender women in sub-Saharan Africa.

As exciting as long acting injectables are, and as anxious as we are to hear how this intervention works for cis women, we know the prevention buffet still needs more choices for all kinds of people around the world and across their sexual lifespans. As we know with contraception, more choices means more protection.

Please join Dr. Craig Hendrix as he explores the HIV prevention pipeline and a range of drugs, molecules and modalities that are being studied, with an emphasis on desire (beyond acceptability) and choice. Discussion and QA highly encouraged in this interactive Zoom session.

Brought to you by AIDS Foundation Chicago, Midwest AIDS Training and Education Center, and IRMA.
