Dr. Irina Tabidze is the director of Program Operations in the Bureau of HIV/STI at the Chicago Department of Public Health. She is a public health professional with expertise in STI (including mother-to-child transmission of syphilis, HIV) surveillance, research, and prevention and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in prominent journals including Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Clinical Infectious Diseases, JAMA, and MMWR

Dr. Richard Teran is an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, assigned to the Communicable Disease Program at the Chicago Department of Public Health. Prior to joining CDC for the COVID-19 response, his research focused on studying HIV viral load patterns of people living with HIV and using biomedical and implementation science approaches to increase the proportion of individuals achieving and maintaining durable viral suppression.
