Coming Home: Women, Race, Social Justice and HIV, on Thursday, March 10, 2022. 9:30 am – 3:30 pm.

AIDS Foundation Chicago is hosting a virtual live event that will engage Black and Brown women around the nation for a shared learning opportunity. The conference in commemoration of National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Day will include some of the nation’s leading experts and activists to address topics on women, race, social justice, and HIV. In this conference, participants will confront issues such as discrimination and mistrust in the health care system that prevent many Black and Brown women from accessing prevention, treatment and transitioning back into the community. As a part of this conference, we will interact with experts and have dialogue, share interventions and strategies.

The Midwest AIDS Training & Education Center (MATEC), The Women’s Connection, and Black Women First, Women Evolving and Getting to Zero Illinois projects have partnered with the AIDS Foundation Chicago.  The partners listed above hope to bring together individuals and organizations that are committed to conducting programs that are instrumental in working with women who have become warriors in the fight against systematic injustices faced by women today.
