ANAC2015 Chair Norma Rolfsen and Co-Chair Jason Farley have led the Conference Committee to plan an outstanding lineup of excellent speakers and sessions. ANAC is thrilled to share that the Conference Keynote Address will be given by RADM Sylvia Trent-Adams, PhD, RN on Thursday, October 29 at 12:00 – 1:00 pm.
RADM Trent-Adams currently serves as the Chief Nurse Officer for the United States Public Health Service and as the Deputy Administrator in the HIV/AIDS Bureau of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). ANAC congratulates RADM Trent-Adams on her new appointment as Deputy Surgeon General of the United States, a position she will begin in October of this year.
ANAC is honored that RADM Trent-Adams, as the Keynote Speaker, will set the tone for an excellent three days of learning at ANAC2015. Through this year’s Conference theme of Sex, Drugs & Living Well, ANAC2015 will highlight HIV and HIV associated conditions and co-morbidities, including but not limited to viral hepatitis, STI’s, substance use and mental health. Confirmed speakers and topics include Dr. Celeste Watkins Hayes addressing HIV-related stigma in women, John Stryker, MS, NP and Brittany Mills, PharmD, MBA, BCACP, AAHIVP co-presenting on an interdisciplinary approach to HCV treatment and Dr. Jim Raper, Phd, CRNP, JD, FAAN, FAANP, FIDSA discussing overcoming complexities related to HIV care.
