Learning Objectives:
Describe the needs of reentry population
Illustrate strategies to help clients cope with reentry to the community
Understand basics about HIV care management
Adopt a client centered approach to help clients manage their health and other priority needs
Intended Audience: Medical and discharge planning staff, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, and pharmacists who manage patients with HIV disease. All staff who work with and receive or refer newly released individuals from prison or jail for HIV medical care.
Nursing CE – Continuing Nursing Education units will be provided by Kansas City Free Health Clinic, an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. This course offering is approved for 1.5 contact hours applicable for RN or LPN relicensure. Kansas State Board of Nursing Approved Provider Number: 0256-0609.
