What: The Trauma-Informed Approach and HIV Prevention and Care: Empowering Clients to Live Healthy Lives is a 6-hour training aimed at creating trauma-informed and responsive HIV/AIDS providers in Illinois, for both prevention and care. The training will delve into defining trauma, the trauma-informed approach, how trauma intersects with HIV, and practical applications of this information to professional practice.

When: This training will take place on Friday, March 29, 2019 at McLean County Health Department, Room 323, 200 W. Front St., Bloomington, IL, 61701 from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM. Registration and breakfast will take place from 8:30 AM-9:00 AM. Attendees are welcome to park in the parking decks near the health department, but NOT in thehealth department’s lot.

Cost: This event is free, open to all Illinois HIV/AIDS prevention and care providers, and will include breakfast and lunch.
